Progressive Care Unit 3 rd Floor
St. Elizabeth’s Hospital is a member of Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), a multi-institutional health care system that sponsors 13 hospitals in 12 communities across Illinois and Wisconsin, and an integrated physician network. As our name implies, we are a healing ministry guided by the historic mission of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. At the same time, we are firmly grounded in best practices and technologies to provide region-leading high-value health care to the communities we serve.
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) consists of 56 telemetry beds enabling the provision of care for acute and chronic cardiac patients. Our patient population consists of post open heart, post cardiac intervention, heart failure, and/or any underlying cardiac condition. PCU receives approximately 40% of the total hospital admissions.
Must hold valid Illinois professional registered nurse license (or be eligible by endorsement). Experience preferred. CPR certification; additional certification and proficiencies may be required in specialty areas. Provides direct patient care and coordinates other aspects of care
