Retirement Services Operations
Responsible for overseeing a variety of administrative and analytical functions focusing on high complexity level cases. Continuously identify, initiate and complete reengineering, of processes as well as unique solutions for problems. Responsible for oversight of technical training and quality review at a department level. When issues arise must be able to analyze, gather all pertinent information and present a specific recommendation to management. Maintain relationships with key clients and must be proficient and knowledgeable in both technical and business processes given the judgment needed for problem resolution. Assign and monitor workflow and develop and maintain policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities & REQUIREMENTS:
- Handles projects or work with defined scope in own discipline and typically has a short-term focus
- Works with guidance on small-scale team/unit projects
- Solves problems in own specialty area
- Makes worthwhile improvements to existing programs, and procedures
- Makes practical suggestions for improving work processes in own area
- Works for consensus and contributes to achievement of work group goals
- Individual typically has at least 2-5 years of related experience
The Adjustments role evaluates and analyzes each error situation and devises an efficient, cost effective plan to correct the issue, understanding all of the downstream business and systematic implications. Responsible for continuously evaluating the process, analyzing for efficiencies and initiating projects (LSS or otherwise) for process improvements. Must be able to analyze issues, develop solutions which may be implemented or reviewed by management, depending on any costs associated with the solution proposed. Responsible for mentoring less experienced DMA’s in the adjustment process as part of DMA career path.
Must possess superior understanding of the internal recordkeeping system in addition to a strong technical background and expertise in spreadsheet (i.e. Excel) creation and utilization. This is inclusive of database query execution on appropriate systems.
