This position will be responsible for the operations of the horse racing department.
Ensure that FLCR is fully compliant with all NYRWB racing laws and directives and that all aspects of the business demonstrates the highest integrity levels possible.
Responsible for writing race condition books and overnight extras that offer consistent racing opportunities to the horsemen in order to maximize the use of the horse population.
Responsible for staffing, including controlling labor costs through proper scheduling, training and supervision.
Aggressively lead team to pursue entries to maximize field size. Average number of horse per race should be 8 or more.
Ensures that accurate information is input into the Incompass computer system for all Thoroughbred registration, owner and trainer information.
Qualified candidates must have:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years of horse racing operational management experience required. Minimum of 10 years of horse racing industry experience required.
Supervisory experience a must.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and E-mail is required.
Must be able to work some varied shifts.
Have an in-depth knowledge of racing office Incompass computer system.
Must be able to obtain a NY State racing and Wagering license is required.
