Fleet Systems Engineering Team (FSET) assure effective operations for all afloat and ashore C4I systems throughout the entire deployment cycle, and to provide systems engineering and technical support for rapid introduction of new capabilities into the Fleet. This task will provide senior technical advisors and systems engineers for end-to-end C4I systems engineering support to all Carrier and Expeditionary Strike Groups (CSGs, ESGs) throughout Fleet Readiness Plan (FRP) phases; from initial workups through deployment, and during maintenance and upkeep periods.

Provide input to the appropriate program office on recommended design changes for the RF and baseband systems at the NCTAMS; assist ship's force in resolving problems with ship to shore communications and assist station in troubleshooting and repair of these systems as required.
Provide engineering support for SPAWAR installed RF and baseband equipment at NCTAMS and other technical assistance as requested by the program office.
o Technical support for maintenance of the system architecture configuration and baseline to meet the site program objectives
o Technical and engineering support for site upgrades and modifications to site specific CONOPS and make recommendations for the CONOPS, which govern Navy-wide RF/baseband operations
o Technical support to Joint and Fleet exercises, and provide after-action report input to cognizant NCTAMS/NCTS site personnel that identify potential problems and recommend solutions
o RF/baseband maintenance training to include system interfaces, as required
o Support for RF/baseband specific restoral procedures and other technical C4I assistance as requested by the Lead FSET.
Work closely with government site engineering and military personnel to support integration and reconfiguration of site upgrades and modifications in support of the command's oversight and testing mission
Work with users and customers to insure new systems are integrated into the architecture
Coordinate trouble-shooting efforts across the entire system "keyboard to antenna"
Follow established procedures to ensure all systems are interoperable while providing seamless services during normal operations and contingency situations during communications shift from region to region

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Navy C41 RF programs and an understanding about how RF issues impact performance of other parts of the C41 Architecture
Bachelors Degree of Science or 9 years of C41 Systems Experience
System Level engineering expertise and technical training to support the scope and requirements of all programs for RF baseband issues
Active Secret Clearance
