Responsibilities:
Performs a wide range of general and special diagnostic radiographic procedures in the radiology department, in surgery and at that patient bedside while assuming the responsibility and maintaining the general care and safety of patients. Operates computed radiography equipment including plate reader and remote operator panel, direct digital radiography equipment, mobile x-ray and C-arm equipment. Responsible for utilizing the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), administering intravascular contrast media per protocol and assisting physician in performing procedures.

Requirements:
Must be a graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology ( JRCERT) accredited program . Must be certified and registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Must be certified by the American Heart Association in BLS for Healthcare Providers. Minimum one year full time experience in radiologic technology preferred, with on-the-job training for special exams. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other practitioners. Must possess analytical skills necessary to resolve issues as they pertain to equipment and workflow. Must possess sound knowledge in the production of radiographs (i.e. technical and positioning competencies) and demonstrate competency in the use of digital and conventional radiographic equipment and PACS.
