Coordinates and performs all office procedures and provides proper patient care and assists technologists when available. Available for transportation of patients.

2.Is knowledgeable of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment.
3. Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for:
a) Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/ or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
b) Maintains the confidentiality of all data, including patients, employee and operations data in the hospital and outside of the hospital.
c) Ensures Quality Assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
d) Ensures compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from any type of harassment and illegal and discriminatory behavior.
4. Greets and introduce self on telephone and to patients. Verifies accuracy and completeness of patients registration forms.
5.Pulls and prepares film jackets for all Imaging Services procedures and for interpretation by the Radiologist.
6.Files and faxes Radiology reports after the radiologist has authenticated them. Also retrieves files and reports when requested
7.Coordinates and performs all examination scheduling. Provides patient, physician, and office with proper examination preparation and time requirements.
8.Logs radiographs (in/out) on file jacket as necessary. Prepares film release form according to policy.
9. Maintains rotations of two (2) week file area.
10. Maintains appropriate numerical filing of all exam jackets.
11.Assists physician in the location and review of all Radiographic films and reports.
12.Keeps the file room and workstation neat and orderly. Maintains office equipment.
Other Duties (direct patient care)
a) Assists in the movement of patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, and radiographic tables
b) Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and ID band, etc
c) Logs patient in/out of transporting.
d) Takes chart with patient.
e) Assists technologist in film development when available
f) Assists physician in the location and review of radiographic files and reports
g) Assists technologist with patients as needed, during radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures.
HS graduate or GED required. One year hospital work or physician office experience preferred. Ability to type 50WPM with 90% accuracy. Training in computer software, medical terminology and personable communications skills are a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
