Boston, MA, Full-Time/Year-Round

SUMMARY: The Ramp Coordinator will act as the link between SOC & station personnel. This position will communicate with SOC & execute all plans at the station level. This position will also keep SOC informed of operations at the station, especially during times of irregular operations. In addition, this position will ensure that all required flight data (including FLIFO) is updated in a timely manner and that the station is adequately handling all inbound & outbound aircraft and passengers. The primary objective of the Ramp Coordinator is to facilitate the safe and efficient flow of passengers and aircraft while meeting on-time/target time performance guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and populate FLIFO

Communicate with SOC via phone and OUS

Monitor aircraft availability with help of MOC; stay informed on next day A/C availability; help coordinate swaps

Stay informed on maintenance and weather delays; monitor dashboard for flight status updates

Keep SOC advised of station Irregular operations (IROPS)

Communicate with PIC:
Answer aircraft in-range call

Communicate next destination for aircraft and advise pilot of expected departure time, passengers and bag weights

Communicate with Airport Personnel:
Announce inbound and outbound flights; communicate airport Irregularities; disseminate pilot flows (as required)

Communicate to Station Operations aircraft parking position when advantageous

Coordinate fueling sequence and ensure completion

Pre-plan for outbound flights; execute flight departures; ensure ramp agent confirms aircraft is secure before each departure

Ensure flight turnaround plan is understood by all entities

Make sure weight and balance figures are available (all passenger weights are entered)

Initiate passenger queuing via radio following predetermined sequence plan; call for pre-queued passengers from holding area; assign and brief ground personnel to arrival/departure plan

Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
At least six months experience working foran airline on the Ramp, preferred

Must be willing to participate in and must successfully complete specialized training

Additional skills/knowledge requirements:
ATIS and basic weather knowledge

Notams and TFRs and how to obtain information related to both

TSA, FAA and local airport rules and regulations

All safety and operations manuals

Weight and balance concepts

FLIFO

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent multi-tasking abilities

Flexible and adaptable

Must exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
