Ramp Trainer (Ft. Lauderdale, Fl)
Salary $30-35K

General Summary
The Ramp Trainer delivers training in the areas of ramp and aircraft handling policies and procedures in the airport environment, including but not limited to key areas such as:
• Aircraft loading procedures and associated paperwork
• Safety and security in the ramp environment
• Operation and daily checking of Ground Service Equipment
• Assisting customers, including those with disabilities
• Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials
The Ramp Trainer will develop a training plan on a calendar year basis to ensure that the appropriate numbers of classes are delivered on a schedule such that all airport employees have the opportunity to receive formal training, both initial and recurrent, as needed and as dictated by operational needs.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop the curriculum for each course, working with the Manager Ramp Standards and Training
  • Deliver the training classes
  • When not conducting formal training or planning for training, travel to Silver Airways stations to perform station audits
  • Conducts other duties as assigned
    Knowledge Skills and Abilities
    · Successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal skills as they will be responsible for developing and writing training curriculums and courses and station communications
    · Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    · Ability to work effectively and manage relationships in a diverse multi-cultural environment
    · Ability to work and manage projects independently with minimal supervision
    · Ability to communicate effectively at different levels of the company and across different cultures
    · Excellent organizational and presentation skills required
    · 50% travel required, including travel to and outdoor work in different climates and weather conditions
    · Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
    · Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screen, and FBI Fingerprint 10 Year Criminal Background Check

    Education and Experience
    · Previous experience in airport operations, including preferably time at regional airlines and at line stations required
    · Previous experience developing training curriculums and delivering training in a classroom setting required
    · Ability to work flexible days and times including nights and weekends as needed

    Physical Requirements
    · Sight: Must be able to see well enough to read reports
    · Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and team members.
    · Standing/Walking: Must be able to move about department
    · Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up paper products
    · Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly
    · Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources
    · Working Conditions: Normal working conditions absent extreme factors
