Rate & Revenue Analyst III Full-Time

Location West Palm Beach, Florida

Job Responsibilities…. This advanced professional financial position will apply their analytical and communication skills related to Regulated Revenues, Cost of Service and Rate Design and other statistical analysis. They will also perform internal natural gas and electric revenue and gross margin analysis, budgets and forecasts. This position will have the responsibility for analyzing and proposing solutions to key business issues when necessary, making oral and written presentations to state regulatory agencies. The incumbent acts under the guidance of the Director, Regulatory Affairs. This position works with Florida Business Unit Personnel, Financial Analysts, Accounting and Regulatory Departments as well as FPSC Auditors and Staff, Company External Auditors, Industry Regulatory Personnel Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Prepares revenue, customers, units, and gross margin projections for internal and external use
• Prepares statistical models to project billing determinants, revenues and explain variances
• Prepares cost of service and rate design for Regulated business units
• Develops alternative rate design for analysis and implementation
• Prepares rate and revenue analysis and other special projects
• Prepares and provides formal written testimony and oral presentations to support rates, revenue and projections for regulated units
• Performs all other duties as assigned
Requires….
• Must have four year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum of ten (10) years of accounting and utility experience
• Regulated statistical analysis, rates, and cost of service experience is required
• Strong written and verbal communications skills required
• Knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite of software
• Knowledge of the Epicor suite of software
• Knowledge of Microsoft FRx suite of software
• Knowledge of Business Objects and related software
• Knowledge of statistical modeling
• Knowledge of regulatory tariffs, rate design and cost of service
• Must have a high level of initiative and be able to be self-directed
• Must seek efficiencies in all areas to create overall process improvement
• Must be able to respond creatively to unique situations
• Must have utility accounting and regulatory experience
• Must be able to travel to receive training in relevant fields
• Must be willing to travel within the state of Florida and occasionally to Delaware
• Must have a Florida Driver’s license
