RDPIM Summer Associate AmeriCorps -
North Carolina
Member Duties : RDPIM SAs will help strengthen the reach and impact of our community-based volunteer program by: recruiting at-risk youth; serving as mentors to at-risk youth; recruiting and training adult volunteers to assist in mentoring youth and participating in youth community service-learning projects; and fundraising. SAs will actively participate in social justice issues as they engage in hands on community service activities/projects such as rehabilitating existing substandard homes of low-income families; planting community gardens, operating a summer food and fun program for younger youth and other community service-learning projects needed to address many of the social issues that plague our communities.
