We currently have openings for Contract/1099 Sr. Review Appraisers for our offices in Oceanside, CA.
Reviews BPOs, appraisals, and AVMs nationwide;
Gathers and analyzes market data from various resources; researches market conditions and variables that might impact the value and/or marketability of the collateral/real estate property being reviewed; and forms an opinion of market value.
Documentation for value is explained and provided in a written report with backup data saved to a database. Identifies geographical trends for problem properties.
Works on special case properties that might require additional investigation, diligence and expertise.
Investigates potential problem loans due to appraisal. (fraudulent appraisals). Submission of poor appraisal and BPO work to Director for Advisement or Suspension review and write up.
Assists and answers questions for Asset Managers; keeps daily record of work performed
Certified Residential Appraiser license required.
High school diploma or equivalent with college level course in communication and writing skills.
3+ years experience in corporate R.E. Appraisal.
Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions.
Microsoft Suite at basic level required.
Relevant and industry-specific computer software packages at intermediate level preferred.
