Real Estate Loan Processor
SUMMARY OF MAJOR FUNCTIONS

Under general supervision, in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations, processes real estate loans by retrieving and inputting data in order to package real estate loans for underwriting. Regularly communicates by telephone with members, real estate agents and real estate support organizations to expedite the loan application process. Has a working knowledge of the secondary mortgage market. Treats all members, staff and visitors with consideration and respect.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Performs all or any combination of the following)

Maintains a positive attitude. Presents a neat, businesslike appearance.

Processes all mortgage loans for underwriting which includes but is not limited to:

Inputting borrower information
Income verification from employer
Ordering and reviewing appraisals for accuracy
Ordering title insurance and reviewing for exceptions
Ordering and reviewing flood certification
Ordering tax transcripts and reviewing for flags
Obtaining PMI, if applicable
Providing disclosures to borrower with required time frames
Compiling all information and inputting information into the system accurately for underwriting
Immediately disclosing any discrepancies with the underwriter

May have some interaction with university personnel, real estate agents, contractors, vendors and members.

May perform real estate loan servicing functions including timely disbursement of escrow analysis, interest rate adjustment notices and payment of property taxes, homeowners insurance and PMI premiums along with real estate loan audits.

May cross train in other areas or departments.

Described duties are neither inclusive nor exclusive. Performs other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education equivalent to graduation from high school.

One year experience in real estate loan processing or two years experience in a related field.

Needs good communication skills and must be able to hear and speak distinctly.

Must have a valid driver’s license.
