The BDO REAL ESTATE Valuation Advisors Associate is responsible for utilizing previously obtained educational background, along with established organizational and project management skills to successfully service clients of BDO Valuation Advisors. In this role, the BDO Valuation Advisors Associate will work within a team environment to actively assist in the analysis and resolution of client matters while taking direction and receiving guidance from experienced staff and management members. The Associate will be involved in all stages of client management including construction of valuation modeling, completion of industry and client research and analysis of financial statements.

- Performs company, industry and economic research

- Performs benchmark analyses and assists with analytical tasks and projects

- Analyzes financial statements

- Assesses operational profitability and financial conditions

- Navigates public company databases and filings

- Documents and ensures quality control of work product for assigned clients

- Composes appropriate narrative reports to support valuation analyses

- Develops exhibits and memos to illustrate complex issue

- Assists with project preparation and delivery

- Participates in external and internal client meetings

- Other duties as required

External Job Description - Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or other relevant field required


- Prior experience (internship or work study) in valuation, corporate finance or accounting environment highly beneficial


- CPA / CFA / AM / ASA or other certification preferred


- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Superior analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex issues

- Intermediate or higher spreadsheet understanding and computer adaptability

- Ability to analyze and organize high volumes of data

- Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

- Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

- Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
