Receives inbound materials, ensures what we receive is accurate and prepares it for storage.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Count and sort incoming freight to verify receipt of items against shipping notice
Record and check quantity and quality of goods received for conformity to PO specifications
Identify and ensure proper documentation of non-conforming material
Perform proper material handling and packaging to ensure quality standards are met
Complete transactions using bar code scanner/ computer system
Manage flow of materials into inbound area
Work efficiently to achieve or exceed performance targets for velocity , quality and cost
Operate a fork lift to unload inbound freight from trailers
Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals
Performs other duties as assigned
Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/ skill
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic personal computer skills.

This position involves heavy physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily product/technical nature.
The employee is required to have manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.
