The Receiving Lead shall be responsible for the accuracy and documenting of all receiving transactions. This person will inspect all goods delivered for any obvious damage and ensure any obvious damage is documented before signing off on any paperwork. They will ensure the correct quantities are delivered according the paperwork. This position handles all vendor returns and manages the movement of material on the NCR shelf in receiving. This position requires someone able to do critical thinking, problem solving, and communicate effectively with people. The ability to safely operate a fork lift truck is a must, as well as the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. In addition, this person must have a sense of urgency when required to meet the expectations of all internal customers is a must. This is a two man department reporting the to the purchasing manager. The volume of work includes 1200-1400 individual supplier receipts per month, in addition there are multiple customer returns, brakes, motors and generators to be unloaded, photographed, and received. This position is responsible for keeping the receiving dock clear of incoming material by communicating with Quality and the warehouse when material is ready to move. In addtion, this position requires someone who can communicate across all departments including upper management. A good working knowledge of computer systems, previous or current Oracle MRP experience is a plus. And other duties as requested by supervisor.
