Receiving Supervisor oversees the safe receipt, storage, and timely transfer of goods. Ensures workplace health and safety and Food Safety requirements are met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and stock. Receiving Supervisor plans and organizes the day to day receiving of Tomatoes, Peppers, Cucumbers and or other produce within the warehouse. They ensure productivity targets are met and maintain computerized administration of inventory. They manage teams of workers and deal with personnel issues such as the training and discipline of staff.

-Responsible for ongoing departmental improvements.
-Responsible to balance workload, ensure all assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner.
-Complete understanding of USDA Quality guidelines, and PACA rules and regulations pertaining to the proper receiving of inbound produce.
-Complete understanding of Mastronardi Grower Specs as well as purchased product.
-Complete understanding of MPL receiving process and adhere to all MPL protocols.
-Responsible for administering quality inspection of all incoming product.
-Assist Receiving manager in accurately and timely receiving of all inbound loads.
-Accurate and legitimate ordering of USDA inspections.
-Monitors status of incoming orders with logistics and admin.
-Responsible for that inbound skids are stacked, tagged properly and ensures product is shipped correctly (when needed).
-Communicates well with commodity management and procurement on inbound quality issues.
-Ensures receiving works with all other MPL department in a timely fashion.
-Ensures production product is received timely so they can meet ready times.
-Ensures shipping receives product so they can meet department times.
-Understands the computerized process of receiving and transferring of goods in NAV.
-Create weekly schedules for employees.
-Mediating disputes within the department.
-Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other Company data, including personnel information.
-Responsible to train successor for potential absence (vacation, PTO)
-High School Diploma
-Proficiency in use of English language with ability to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and through e-mail.
-Valid Michigan Driver’s license
-Ability to properly manage time, equipment and people.
-Proficient in computer use skills (MS Office: Word, Excel and Visio)
