The Receptionist has responsibility for the overall assistance and clerical support to Project staff. S/he provides general secretarial, clerical and receptionist functions, answering calls on the operator queue and assisting Units with clerical assignments as necessary in the Tallahassee office. Excellent clerical, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills; ability to understand written and spoken instructions. Professional phone manner required.
Must be able to relate to a broad range of customers. Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism. Excellent typing skills required; PC skills preferred. One year administrative experience, including familiarity with word processor and computer systems (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
High School Diploma or GED certificate. Thorough knowledge of general office procedures and experience with office equipment (i.e., phone system, computer, fax machine, copy machine, etc.).
