Primary Duties and Responsibilities:|
Answers phones for various departments. Takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions. Works with other receptionist to make sure that all phones duties at Chesapeake are covered.
Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies,including high-level staff such as the CEO, Executives, and board members.
Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls.
Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, conferences and department activities.
Types and designs general correspondences and memos. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, making appropriate changes.
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.
Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications.
Able to learn company specific applications.
Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.
Able to sit for long periods of time.
A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
Bachelor's degree and one year experience in clerical work.
