RECEPTIONIST

$13.03 - $17.46 hourly

$2,259.35 - $3,027.75 monthly

THE POSITION

The Receptionist is the entry level position. This position involves extensive interaction with Spanish speaking customers, requiring bilingual verbal and writing communication. Under direct supervision, incumbent performs a variety of routine clerical/office support work following predetermined guidelines and procedures for a work unit and/or department. Incumbent is responsible for routine clerical duties including but not limited to answering phones, greeting visitors, responding to routine questions from the public or other City employees. Incumbent may also performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:

Receptionist – Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for a Receptionist . Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is the typical method of meeting minimum qualifications for the position.

License/Certificate:

Possession of a valid Class C California driver’s license.

Other:

Applicant must be 18 years of age by the time of appointment and must successfully complete an oral and written Spanish language assessment.
