Reporting to the Manager, the incumbent provides front-desk coverage in The Business School office at the North Campus. The position screens telephone and in-person requests for all full-time faculty and part-time faculty in The Business School North Campus Office. The incumbent orders and tracks office supplies, places maintenance calls, liaises with the Print Shop, troubleshoots problems with machine failures or breakdowns and ensures there is a reasonable supply of photocopy paper available throughout the day. Other duties include: start-up activities each semester such as maintaining/updating mailboxes for faculty and staff; distributing mail throughout the day; following up with faculty members to advise and remind of deadlines, for example, mid-term, final grades, etc.; ensuring record keeping is up to date (posting notices that inform students/coordinators/manager of class cancellations and recording this information on the ā€œIā€ drive).

The incumbent will hold a college certificate or diploma (or equivalent) and have a minimum of two years of work experience in an office setting along with excellent written and oral communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision are essential. Other qualifications include; demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, exercise good judgement, work with significant interruptions, and resolve conflicts. Knowledge of program requirements, college systems, policies and procedures, and familiarity with EIS, strong computer skills including spreadsheets and mail merges are required. The desire and ability to work in a diverse, dynamic, multi-cultural environment with scarce resources is expected.
