The role of the Receptionist is to provide extraordinary care to patients and customers through friendly, caring, courteous, and professional customer service. The Receptionist acts with minimal supervision while ensuring that patients and customers are courteously greeted in a timely manner and are made to feel welcome. The Receptionist also answers, screens and appropriately routes incoming telephone calls. They provide administrative support to department staff and are vital to Intermountain’s success in providing exceptional patient care. The Receptionist has the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of many on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements
  • One or more years of previous receptionist experience
  • Computer data entry skills (Microsoft Word processing and email)
  • Must have proven and effective interpersonal relationship skills
  • Demonstrated effective degree of organizational skills
  • Able to manage multiple high priority tasks
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Physical ability to perform tasks in the assigned work area
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work experience as a receptionist in a medical or hospital setting
  • Front office experience to include the reception and greeting of customers
  • Typing skills (minimum 30 WPM (words per minute)
