Function as Safety Zone Captain for visitors and backup weather monitor for the project, represent the project as the first point of contact for visitors and clients at the facility, meet & greet visitors to the facility, coordinate visitor arrivals, coordinate conference room scheduling, take and forward messages, control multi-line PBX system, act as security control for badge issue and badge compliance, provide outgoing postal service for the project, function as incoming postal and express package point-of-receipt, monitor facsimile traffic, update and distribute phone list, assist with facility maintenance coordination and conference room setups,

Training and Experience

3 years experience in adminstrative support functions for a multi-group office, knowledge of basic PC skills including email and word processing in a networked office, are all required. Experience with large federal contract projects in a professional services business, is desirable. Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint or any database software at the intermediate or advanced level is a positive discriminator.

Other Essential Functions

This position will assist the Project Services group with light typing, hard and soft copy filing and organization, scheduling, data storage and manipulation, and general administrative support skills; the candidiate selected must be able to quickly assimilate new PC skills. As such, the ability to network with other people and the ability to work mutliple tasks and prioritize their efforts, are essential. The successful candidate will possess the ability to lead as well as follow direction as the situation demands, and will be able to negotiate multiple tasks in occasionally stressful situations. Occasional and irregular overtime is required.

Other Requirements

Ability to assist with light package deliveries, ability to lift a 40# paper carton, mobility to open doors, climb stairs and move between non-contiguous buildings via the sidewalk, and the ability to move over the adjacent elevated parking lot and curbs for evacuation coordination, are required.
