The Receptionist performs an important function in the image of the TekLinks. He or she is often the first person in which any client or visitor interacts. They are also the first point of contact for any person who reaches the company by phone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. •

Professionally administer all incoming calls and ensure they are directed accordingly •

Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner •

Open and close visitor area (monitor locked doors, turn on/off lights and lobby monitor) •

Make sure all visitors sign in before taking a tour of the data center •

Handle the incoming/outgoing mail •

Order supplies for the office, building and kitchen •

Create shipping labels and manage the shipping account •

Manage the testing center and proctor tests •

Point of contact for certificates of insurance (requesting them for clients, filing them, making sure they are renewed each year) •

Manage the company directory •

Create and manage reservations for employee travel

The Receptionist is expected to have the switchboard open and operating promptly at 8:00 a.m. and throughout the day until 5:00 p.m. Relief switchboard coverage will be provided for a one-hour lunch, as well as morning and afternoon breaks of 10 minutes each. He/She should work with relief coverage to determine appropriate times for lunch and breaks.

Excellent phone etiquette •

Excellent verbal communication skills •

Punctual •

Able to work with minimum supervision •

Should be customer service driven •

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) •

Able to multi-task •
