SUMMARY OF JOB:
The KATU-TV receptionist is responsible for providing administrative support to the organization. This is a job sharing position. Applicant will need to be able to cover one full day/week as well as full days for vacation and illness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct all incoming phone calls
Greets and accommodates visitors that enter the KATU reception area - directing them to where they need to go and making sure guests sign in and wear badges.
Mail coordination - sorting, distributing, and preparing all mail to be ready for the afternoon pickup.
Monitors postage machine usage and re-fills as necessary.
Monitors and orders office supplies for station.
Responsible for shipping all UPS and FedEx orders for the station.
Provide office support for station staff as assigned by Manager.
Other duties may be assigned.

High school diploma or GED equivalency required
Ability to read, comprehend and compose common instructions, business correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Fisher team members.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions expressed in written, oral or diagram form.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to remain in a static position for extended periods of time and converse with and communicate with others. The team member is occasionally required to move about, handle and/or position items. The team member must occasionally transport or move up to 15 pounds. The team member must be able to identify objects and be able to communicate in writing.
Typical indoor office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
