This position requires a strong working knowledge of all enrollment and billing practices, including the maintenance of all membership systems. Responsible for reconciling payments for groups, identifying discrepancies in balance disputes and managing all delinquent accounts which include identifying the overdue premium as well as actively pursuing collection of any outstanding balances.
Associates Degree preferred.
Minimum 1 year employment experience in a professional office setting preferred; experience in a membership & billing department preferred.
Strong system research and analysis skills; deductive and creative thinking required.
Ability to effectively manage time with multiple task assignments required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively and positively communicate with external and internal contacts both verbally and via written correspondence required.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and make decisions based on corporate underwriting guidelines, as well as NYS & Federal statutes relating to healthcare administration required.
