PURPOSE: To provide administrative support, staff training and assistance for the Aviation Maintenance Software (AMS) system, as an essential part of the work of MAF, so that the Gospel is proclaimed, and God’s Kingdom is extended.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluates existing aircraft written and computer records and determines what information needs to be extracted and brought into the AMS program
Enters aircraft records, maintenance and inventory data
Keeps track of software, industry and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) manual changes and updates
Assists with questions about software problems and helps with solutions
Refers problems to the appropriate person or office
Acts as a liaison between MAF and third parties (software provider, FAA, manufacture, etc.)
Assists staff in the training of AMS software (one-on-one or small class)
Reviews, edits, and updates training materials as requested by supervisor

Job Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
2 years of course work at an accredited college or business school
3 years work experience in a related field
Aircraft records experience
FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred
Classroom teaching experience desirable but not required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent administrative skills including filing, organizing, record-keeping, telephone, grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Ability to accurately and effectively communicate orally and in writing
Appropriate initiative in carrying out assigned responsibilities with minimal instruction or supervision
Good analytical skills and ability to reason and think through all steps leading to successful project completion, even when there is limited standardization of procedures
Energized by excellence, high quality, and new ideas/projects
Strong people skills; tactful, and commitment to maintain confidentiality of oral or written confidential information
Understanding of MAF system, radio, maintenance operations, and aircraft maintenance needs
Servant attitude
Ability to creatively plan and implement events, both on-site and off-site for various sized groups
A strong, stable Christian faith and spiritual strength must be evidenced by the employee to interact with candidates, consultants and active missionaries in coordinating issues that could be very sensitive and confidential.

Act in a manner that is Christ-honoring as well as Christ-like, demonstrating a personal Christian faith and witness in all interpersonal interactions
General office environment/equipment
Close vision and accurate color vision to read and prepare documents and use/install/modify/repair/configure computer equipment
Must regularly lift and move 25 lbs., and on occasion 50 lbs.
