Enbridge Energy Company, Inc, a leader in crude and natural gas transportation, gathering, and processing has an immediate need for a Records Management Analyst in our Houston, TX office. This position is accountable for participation in Enbridge’s Records Management Program and the implementation of key initiatives. This position will participate in projects/initiatives within the RM Department/Program and within business units as part of the regular service offering of the RM Department within Corporate Law. The role of the Records Management Analyst will include business requirements gathering, analysis, solution development and implementations.
Supports Records Advisor in the development of Best in Class, Peak Performance Records Management Team, through participation in efforts to develop team purpose/values and ongoing demonstration of leadership behavior.
Responds to business unit questions and requests regarding the management and retention of records and retention scheme.
Provides effective records management best practices and guidelines to the business units based on business value creation and compliance management.
Assists business units in the development of approaches for managing physical and electronic record collections.
Collaborates with the ECM team to ensure Content/Document Management systems effectively enable records management requirements.
Facilitates legal hold requirements with business units as required for litigation, audit or other purposes. Assists as required with records recovery and collection for litigation, audit or other purposes.
Liaises with external (third-party) service providers of physical records management services.
Provides assistance in the search and location of files required for litigation; acquisitions and divestitures etc.
Communicates records management policy; standards; procedures and guidelines to business units through applicable and diverse means.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
Three to Five Years project management experience with records management initiatives
Experience in physical and electronic records management.
Ability to educate and influence others in the concepts and practices of records management within a complex business environment.
Understanding of RM theory and principles around functional classification, retentions scheduling and records management as a core business supporting service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with content and records management systems such as Livelink and SharePoint.
General proficiency in computer technology and business applications.
Ability to travel to field offices as needed
Majority of work performed in typical Office Environment with occasional field office visits. Periodic overtime requirements.
Concentrated levels of reading, studying, analysis, and focused listening.
Limited secretarial support requires employee to possess computer and word processing skills as well as making own travel arrangements and keeping up with expenses.
High degree of independence and autonomy in the day-to-day performance of duties with little to no supervision.
The noise level in the environment is moderate.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talks or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
