Addiction Services at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking a community based recovery coach. The qualified candidate would work as an integral part of a team to accomplish the mission of the program. Provide a safe and secure environment for client/guests and staff in both individual and group settings. Support and promote a welcoming environment for clients in recovery. Share their personal recovery story as appropriate. Coordinate client/guest movement throughout the facility, perform room checks, and supervision as outlined by the program. Collaborate in day-to-day planning/development of programming and implementation of client/guest programs. Learn and help to accomplish clients’ treatment plans and goals. Assist in the teaching of client/guest/family as outlined by the program. Document all progress notes, medication administration, and any other relevant information, reporting any immediate concerns according to departmental policies and procedures. Responsible to role model the mission and values of the organization through appropriate social behavior and problem solving. Interacts with client/guests in a fair, just and respectful manner. Is responsible to actively participate in safety management, crisis intervention and prevention. This may include surveillance, assessment, de-escalation, implementation of restrictive measures, and emergency psychiatric and medical care depending on the setting and position. Monitor and supervise medication distribution and complete reports and paperwork as needed. Communicate with clinical staff and management in a timely and professional manner and handle new admissions as outlined by the program. Report all safety, repair and maintenance needs and provide spiritual, emotional, social, mental, and physical support to clients/guests as outlined by the program. Answer phone calls and monitors and answers the door (searches returning residents and all packages, maintains sign-in/sign-out logs, give breathalyzer to all residents, UDS PRN), as outlined by the program. Uses basic computer software for communication and reporting. Drives and escorts residents as outlined by the program. Assist in the careful use of resource. Support and demonstrate a customer friendly approach in accordance with performance improvement. Involved in training new staff. Lead activities and groups as assigned. Filing and other duties as assigned
