Optimize recovery of store Transfer Costs and minimize the environmental impact of our activities, while supporting IKEA’s business priorities and securing IKEA as the best home furnishings company in the local market.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT Your main tasks will include:  Assist the Recovery Manager in managing the day-to-day activities within the Recovery function  Ensure compliance with IKEA Recovery and Quality standards on a consistent basis via a regular series of audits, follow-up, education and training and reports  Contribute to the development, implementation and on-going evaluation of the Recovery Business Plan  Monitor Transfer Types and maintain confirmation system for returned products to achieve goals  Adhere to inventory control procedures and provide guidance to co-workers about proper transfer routines  Promote and implement the Recovery Concept throughout the store, according to the Recovery Manual guidelines and approved Best Practices • Assist the Recovery Manager in securing continuous development of co-worker competence within Recovery and the throughout the Store on the Recovery processes • Assist the Recovery Manager in helping to establish, implement, review and update Co-Worker Performance and Development plans  Partner with Safety & Security to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and audits regarding inventory integrity, safety, and internal audit standards  Secure Recovery’s Role in establishing and maintaining proper waste sorting/recycling programs, according to IKEA International guidelines  Contributes to a safe, clean and orderly store in “shape as new”, compliant with both internal & external standards/regulations • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned YOUR PROFILE Your knowledge, skills and experience include: Knowledge/Experience: • 1-3 years IKEA experience including training programs, or 3-5 years equivalent retail management experience  Demonstrated leadership abilities  Previous experience balancing multiple priorities, using creative problem-solving to arrive at the optimal solution • Computer aptitude – previous experience with Microsoft applications and/or IKEA systems Capabilities/Motivation:  Dedicated to continuous improvement within a Production-based environment  Strong desire to ensure a safe, profitable, and efficient environment for co-workers and visitors  Strong interpersonal, communications, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a highly developed cross-functional focus  Ability to establish trustful relationships and commitments with coworkers across all levels of the organization  Strong decision-making skills with the ability to influence and act • Eagerness and desire to understand the IKEA business and customer needs and influence improvement of the business • Contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers  Ability to share your knowledge and learning and collaborate with others while acting as a cultural ambassador  Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail  Fluent in English (written and verbal skills) Additional Information  Work Location: Fast-paced, deadline driven, high volume retail store (All Recovery areas)  Physical/Mental Demands (Essential Functions): Ability to access and observe all areas of the store. Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities/deadlines and moderate stress.
