Our Thearetic Activities Department is seeking an energetic and experienced Recreation Therapist to work primarily on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Recreation Therapist's responsibilities include planning and implementing recreational and leisure activities for an assigned program. This involves defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and providing continuous patient care, observation and role modeling to patients.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree ( Master's Degree preferred) from an accredited college or university in Recreation, Music or Art Therapy and have the ability to teach exercise, anger management, stress management and relaxation groups. CTRS certification, knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and an understanding of mental illness, is strongly preferred.
