In anticipation of increased recruitment to support rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced on-site Regional Recruiter to drive the full cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt level civil construction positions in our Mid-Atlantic Region headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia. The primary duty of the incumbent is to ensure that open positions are quickly filled with top talent in a cost-effective manner while maintaining LANE values. The Regional Recruiter reports directly to the Manager, Staffing & Workforce Planning.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing/maintaining effective partnerships with regional human resources managers and hiring managers to understand their business and recruiting needs and establish effective recruiting strategies.
Preparing and posting internal/external ads with appropriate, effective job boards, reviewing resumes and applications, scheduling & conducting phone screens and in-person interviews, forwarding qualified applicants to the appropriate hiring manager, and tracking/analyzing recruiting progress.
Maintaining excellent relationships with candidates, vendors, and the community.
Maintaining reports and files for each requisition/job search to ensure compliance with OFCCP and the company’s EEO/AA initiatives.
Networking and attending career events across the country to creatively source and build databases of quality prospective candidates.
Promoting the company’s Employee Referral Program.
Marketing the company positively and further developing its positive reputation in the industry.
Collaborating to enhance the effectiveness of the company career website.
Maintaining knowledge of current human resources and benefits trends, state & federal regulations, and company policies.
Carrying out responsibilities while maintaining the Lane values.
Bachelor’s degree required; major specializing in Human Resources preferred.
5+ years of relevant recruitment/talent acquisition experience. Experience in the construction industry highly desirable.
Experience generating diverse candidate pools as well as building relationships with affinity organizations.
Experience dealing with high volume recruitment and hard-to-fill positions.
Experience with manpower planning and shifting resources quickly to meet changing business demands across regions.
Superb offer negotiation and candidate-care skills.
Previous experience with applicant tracking and reporting systems.
Thorough knowledge of all relevant state and federal laws that govern the recruitment and selection process.
Experience with social media as a tool for networking and sourcing candidates.
Strong verbal and written communication skills dealing with all levels of the organization.
Team player with a professional image, capable of handling highly confidential information.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
