Perform full cycle recruitment from job requisition to job offer; source, recruit, interview, and recommend qualified candidates to fill open positions in a timely manner; assess candidate qualifications based on behavioral interviews, job requirements, and pre-employment testing results

Coordinate internal job posting process to ensure consistent application of hiring processes for employees across departments and adherence to Human Resource policies and CBA.

Partner with Hiring Managers to understand departmental needs and identify essential qualifications/responsibilities in order to draft accurate job postings and advertisements

Schedule interviews and identify appropriate pre-employment tests to job candidates; provide regular updates on position status to Hiring Managers and job candidates; conduct background checks, employment references, and extend verbal/written job offers

Record all recruitment and hiring activity in Applicant Tracking System for information retention and reports

Attend offsite job fairs and on-campus recruitment events; research and utilize various recruitment sources including industry specific sites/publications, as appropriate

Responsible for staying abreast of current hiring trends and sourcing strategies by regularly attending workshops, seminars, as well as, subscribing to recognized industry publications/websites

Perform additional duties as directed by management


Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant major required

Minimum two (2) years full cycle recruiting experience to include sourcing, interviewing, and assessing job applicants

Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral interviewing techniques and effective sourcing strategies

Prior experience working in a Human Resources department or staffing agency; experience working in a Union environment a plus.

Ability to develop and cultivate effective working relationships with all levels of staff, Hiring Managers, and outside vendors i.e. Search Firms, and temporary agencies.

Experience working with applicant tracking systems (i.eTaleo) highly preferred

Intermediate level Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required

Professional appearance and excellent oral/written communication skills a must to accurately and professionally communicate with management, applicants, and employees

Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
