The position requires a person with the ability to recruit and hire quality hires for a multi-faceted construction company. Successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the construction, engineering and manufacturing arenas.
Develop and manage a successful recruiting program for a multi-million dollar diverse company.
Must have a high level of understanding for all federal and state recruiting and hiring guidelines.
Ability to review resumes and credential for appropriate skills, experience and knowledge to match position requirements.
Must be able to screen and interview candidates for all levels of positions (craft/labor position as well as professional positions).
Must be able to manage the scheduling and logistics of interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Ability to develop and modify job descriptions to match hiring needs to include working with managers to establish position specifics and skill sets to match the needs of positions.
Ability to develop and manage relationships with all levels of the organization to fill positions in a professional and timely manner.
Proactively conduct research and investigate new and innovative ways to identify candidates. Staying abreast with recruiting trends and technology.
High level of understanding of social medical and other competitive recruiting mechanisms.
Ensure all recruiting methods are compliant with Affirmative Action and OFCCP guidelines.
Effectively use applicant tracking system.
Strong preference for construction, engineering and manufacturing background.
Must have strong prospecting, networking and relationship building skills.
Ability to establish and maintain credibility by understanding the job openings, skills and ability necessary to fill positions successfully.
Willingness to assist trainer with orientation and training of all new hires.
Ability to work with Training and Safety Managers in developing and updating training/safety curriculum
Excellent organizational skill to include maintaining tasks efficiently.
Assist with college fairs, job fair and career day presentations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field preferred.
5+ years previous recruiting experience in related industry required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Flexible to work before/after typical office hours as work demand may require.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Strong results oriented person with a high sense of urgency.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
Must be able to adapt to changing business priorities and environment.
