The Recruiter coordinates the recruitment of all hospital employees and is involved in planning and implementation of employee retention measures. Major Duties:
Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital’s strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Manages the HR information systems for requisition, application management and reference checking. Screens applicants, interviewing as needed, assures that all pre-employment requirements are met upon the Manager's decision to hire, including all pre-employment testing and schedules for orientation. Ensures that recruitment is accomplished within established timelines. Works with Directors as requested or needed to target department turnover with enhanced recruiting. Represents SMH at local and regional career job fairs, schools and other recruiting venues, and serves as a member of professional associations as requested and appropriate. Creates and monitors advertising for multiple media. Trains Directors/Supervisors in interviewing skills, hiring process and HR system use. Responsible for reporting relating to recruitment and retention, including turnover and vacancy reports. Manages the advertising and recruiting budgets. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization. Education/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Preferred: Bachelor degree with a concentration in HR or Management preferred in a hospital or other health care environment. Required: General knowledge of Nursing and Allied Health professions, and federal and state laws pertaining to employment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint . Minimum 2 years professional recruiting experience, or 2 years as an HR generalist with Recruitment. Licensure/Certification: Preferred: PHR
