Responsibilities: Place the right person in the right position at the right time. To do that, the recruiter must: Build and maintain strong relationships, and have a keen sense of negotiation with all “customers” including candidates, hiring managers and business partners.Have a well-developed network of candidates and external resources (ie: recruiters, head-hunters, senior leadership in retail organizations, etc.) as well as the skills to build a network quickly and comprehensively. Proven ability to identify and motivate external candidates through cold-calling. Have strong understanding of the complete recruiting function, including: research, sourcing, networking, behavior based interviewing and closing.Possess exceptional organizational skills to manage new and existing needs in multiple markets at one time, with frequently changing deliverable dates.Maintain flexibility to deal with ambiguity and the evolving needs of the retail business environment.

Ability to quickly react and change direction based upon limited and confidential information.Have experience in the retail-staffing field, coupled with an innate ability to identify trends in retailing.Build and maintain positive on-going relationships with internal and external candidates for future opportunities.Build solid relationships & have understanding of all aspects of the corporate retail team.Have ability to manage people and process remotely and make independent, business-focused decisions.Possess strong training abilities to educate and empower retail management to source, recruit and maintain the best store teams in retail.Support companies strategic direction through understanding of the retail talent market (e.g., where to find particular skills, salary expectations of those with those skills, etc.)Track key performance metrics.Help drive Staffing initiatives, including diversity and university relations. The Talent Acquisition Team at Apple Retail is a regionalized staffing function reporting into Retail HR, with strong ties to specific retail business partners. Relationship skills – with candidates, hiring managers and key business partners – are vital. As this position supports the critical initiatives of our “More than a Store” retail stores, previous recruiting experience in a high-end specialty or big-box retailing organization is essential.
