Recruitment Sales Representative The Corpus Christi-Caller Times, a subsidiary of the E.W. Scripps Company, is seeking an outside sales representative focusing on recruitment and help wanted advertising. Successful candidates should have strong skills in prospecting, communication, and organization and be comfortable selling in-person and by telephone. This position works under the direction of the Acquisition Manager to drive new business and grow accounts in our full product portfolio.

We seek a professional with superior people skills, great attitude and solid work ethic. We seek someone who will be excited about the opportunity for acquisition and growth. Key Activities Increase advertising revenue by proactively prospecting and qualifying new business accounts. Manage a high sales volume and sales presentation activity.

Aggressively solicit advertising from new customers, including but not limited to: Planning advertising budgets, developing and presenting campaigns, and audience and behavioral targeting. Close business in the full print and digital product portfolio, meeting or exceeding individual and/or team goals. Other key activities will be presented during the interview process. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Will consider combination of education and experience in a related field. 2-4 years sales experience generating leads, cold calling, closing business and managing clients or comparable combination of experience and education. Skills & Abilities Must have proven, superior prospecting and closing capabilities. Ability to quickly craft solutions based on needs assessments.

Demonstrated record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable sales environment. Proven ability to sell multiple print and digital products, generate new business and increase market share. Strong ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline, generate referrals/leads and track/follow-up on leads Must be able to work well under the pressure of multiple deadlines and assignments. Diligent work ethic and dependable.

Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook)
