Job Description:
The IPA Engineer will perform engineering support of federal computer systems, including virtualization support. The candidate will be responsible for providing 3 rd level technical support for troubleshooting issues or problems with the applications and the systems.

In addition, they will perform the following:
Maintain documentation of hardware and software

Ensure availability of all systems during business hours

Test and install security patches and updates

Minimum Qualifications:
Working knowledge of implementing and managing Red Hat IPA

5 years of experience of providing system administration on Linux systems

Proven analytical and problem solving skills

Documentation development experience

Ability to pass a federal government background investigation

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Red Hat Virtualization (RHEV)

Experience working on-site at a federal government facility

Demonstrable experience with Red Hat IPA

Understanding of networks, engineering concepts and Linux technologies

Ability to organize projects including OS upgrades, new systems and application deployment

Knowledge of backup and recovery systems

Experience with RHEL 5/6

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
