Utilizes configuration management suites to define, manage, build, release and deploy hardware, software and patches to endpoints throughout enterprise environments following standard configuration management processes and procedures. • Utilizes configuration management principles and best practices to effectively support development/support or testing requirements for configuration management systems. • Responsible for coordinating and implementing Configuration management for the project and/or organization as well as maintaining the resulting product throughout its lifecycle. • Builds desktop/laptop images, which includes automated software installs, hardware selection, configuration, and integration testing. • Develops, analyzes, and maintains tools that support and automate processes for software releases. • Assembles and packages software from source code. • Works with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and initiates the build and packaging process. • Writes installation scripts and programs. • Performs upgrades, maintenance, Patching, Software distributions and configuration of servers as well as managing SQL boxes and related database functions.•Deploye and manage requested Enterprise Software Distributions for over 120,000 workstations. •Process advertisement requests and track their progress to customer SLA of 95%. •Create customized queries, web-reports and collections. •Provide analysis reporting on existing advertisements to provide feedback and solution recommendations on deployment issues. •Creation and support of custom SQL scripts for customer requested data •Development and support custom applications for client troubleshooting and data gathering via Wise and AutoIT scripts. •Provide guidance and thought leadership to customer and other company resources •Create and compile detailed procedural reference guides used for training and day to day operations. •Create and manage custom tools for automating SCCM client repair. •Test new SCCM products prior to being introduced into the Enterprise. •Use Microsoft Project to effectively track and manage the project schedule. •Proven technical and troubleshooting skills in fast paced, fast changing environments. •MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist), SCCM 2007 and 2012 (System Center Configuration Manager) (MUST!) •PMP certification (GOOD TO HAVE)
Qualifications • Demonstrates working knowledge of scripting. • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of MS Sysprep and operating system Imaging methodologies as well as operating system provisioning methodologies. • Demonstrates a solid understanding of all infrastructure technologies. • Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Active Directory Policies, LAN topology, routers, hubs, switches and network protocols, including WAN/Frame Relay, and TCP/IP, IPX. Integrates configuration solutions with relational databases. • Demonstrates advanced understanding and knowledge of defining, managing and validating configuration areas using common tools like Concurrent Versions System (CVS), Visual Source Safe (VSS), ClearCase, SubVersion (SVN) for multiple projects. • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of windows server administration to include AD and LDAP as well as virtual servers. • Capability to identify and resolve complex configuration management issues. • Capability to develop and maintain configuration plans/ approach. • 8-10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
