Rodale is searching for a Reference Librarian.

Responsibilities include:
Provide comprehensive reference and research services to all departments in the company including ad sales reps and editorial staff in all offices, covering subject areas from pharmaceuticals, to business and social sciences, and also health/medicine and the physical sciences.

Synthesize information from multiple sources and deliver in an organized and concise format.

Manage the library web site—keep site up-to-date and implement changes and new resources as needed.

Provide instructional assistance and library orientation programs to incoming and existing employees.

Evaluate new products and resources

Stay up-to-date on new technologies and current trends in the field.

Help organize and facilitate library events and promotions.

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Library and Science from an ALA-accredited institution, 3+ years experience preferred

Solid understanding of the principles and practices of reference and information services

Proficient use of online services, such as Dialog, EBSCO, Lexis/Nexis, Factiva and others

Knowledge of AACRII cataloging rules and Library of Congress subject headings

Ability to prioritize and perform multiple duties in a fast-paced environment

Excellent customer service skills in person, on the telephone, via email and virtually.
