General Compliance Education - 2 hours within 30 days and 1 hour annually - to include explanation of FMC's Corporate Integrity Agreement requirements and Compliance Program.
Specific Training: 2 hours annually - consist of training on the aspects of generating, preparing and/or submitting accurate requests for reimbursement from Federal Health Care Programs for professional services. Training will include medical record documentation, personal obligation of each individual to ensure that the information documented is accurate and meets the federal and state requirements for the Federal Health Care Programs, legal sanctions for improper reimbursement submission and examples of proper and improper billing practices.
To schedule appointments for Floyd physicians related to consults and referrals for their patients. The scheduler is responsible for making timely and efficient appointments for patients in need of a consults with a specialist. The scheduler handles making the appointment with the receiving physicians, follow up with the patient and primary care physician. The scheduler will also market Floyd’s services and facilitate any follow up services. The scheduler will explain the appointment times, preparations necessary for the appointment, insurance information concerning the appointment, and will answer any questions the patients may have within the range of settings up an appointment. This will be accomplished by telephone and other correspondence. The scheduler keeps the physicians informed of any delays in service due to rescheduling, cancellation, or pending pre-certification. Additional project(s) may be assigned pursuant to the department's strategic plan.
