Responsibilities: •
Perform emergency repairs from customer •
Checks system pressures •
Recovers and reclaims refrigerants •
Conducts shift inspections, cleaning, and diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/HVAC system components •
Troubleshoots and repairs all HVAC, control systems and electrical failures by applying comprehensive technical knowledge to solve problems by interpreting manufacturer manuals or similar documents. •
Perform preventive maintenance on components to include, but not limited to, 100 ton HVAC units, motors, clutches, brakes, bearings, drive belts, drive shafts, pulleys, gearboxes (speed reducers), and/or conveyor belting. •
Maintain refrigerant log books •
Complete Pm Checklist in accordance with established procedures, document accordingly in applicable computer program. •
Remove and replace plug-in type boards and components. Align, replace, and clear photocells. •
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment or machines for stock replacement and/or to restore equipment to operational status. •
Makes repairs of connectors, wiring and fuses on-site, and cleans and performs diagnostic routines of electrical and control system components. •
May diagnose and correct PLC and operating system software issues through use of computer. •
Maintain work orders in applicable computer program. •
Ability to work in tight and/or high spaces using appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment

Qualifications: •
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent and technical school or experience in related field. •
3+ years experience as an Commercial HVAC Technician •
Must have and maintain current Universal Refrigeration Certification •
Minimum one year of experience with PLCs and/or computer related maintenance experience, control circuits, motors. •
Advanced mechanical aptitude. •
Knowledge of airport operations and maintenance preferred. •
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. •
Ability to work effectively with minimal amount of specific direction and guidance. •
Ability to read and interpret gauges, TP, charts, blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings. •
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. •
Maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Employer's insurance policy.
