HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic
To install, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration, heating and air conditioning equipment. To perform inspections, preventive and regular maintenance and repairs on boilers and boiler-related equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Journeyman license highly preferred.
Federal Govt. Certification for A/C technicians pertaining to venting, reclaiming and recycling of CFC’s required.
Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) training preferred.
Minimum five years’ refrigeration/air conditioning and electrical work experience, including tube bending, soldering, brazing, refrigerant changing, evacuation and leak testing.
Must be able to use multimeters and read schematics and symbol diagrams.
Valid Class “D” driver’s license and aceptable driving record.
Must be able to perform work which requires bending, climbing ladders, etc.
Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to work independently
Available to work varied hours.
Note that there is a o n call requirement for one full week every six weeks (8AM Mon to 8AM Mon )
