Responsible for the overall management, leadership, growth and profitability of assigned programs within the region. Manages, monitors and supports all operational, administrative, clinical, human resource, and fiscal activities of assigned programs and service to insure quality and consistency with company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Routinely plans and organizes Program Manager meetings for communication and planning review purposes.
Establishes a regular schedule for meeting with each Program s Manager and routinely visits each Program site.
provides orientation/training, and retains a sufficient number of Facility Rehabilitation Managers to carry out the responsibilities of the Rehabilitation department.
Ensures employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis.
Utilizes established systems for reviewing and improving operational performance.
Provides follow up reports of improvement initiatives to appropriate company management.
Reviews and analyzes all operational reports with each Program Manager to sustain and improve performance.
Responsible for following through with communication to Program staff on new strategic initiatives, policies, programs and
Directly responsible for ensuring that the quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards and ensures that all Rehab services are in compliance with state and federal legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines.
Routinely utilizes established systems and conducts “spot checks” to review therapists’ documentation practices for clarity, conciseness, consistency and appropriateness with patient outcome goals and payer expectations.
Establishes and monitors systems for evaluating the efficient utilization of therapy services, according to diagnostic and functional groupings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or other healthcare related field.
Five (5) to seven (7) years of clinical management experience, preferably in an interdisciplinary model, is required.
