Director acts as a link between print and digital advertising. Director ensures we have the right commercial strategy for our products and bring product expertise to Sales, enabling Sales executives to sell effectively and quickly. ALDIA is passionate about all things digital and want to shape the ever-changing world of online advertising and commerce.
Director is responsible for retaining, and growing all advertising revenue, and will report directly to the Publisher. The position is responsible for cultivating, training and deploying the best salesforce possible and for assigning and rotating accounts on a regular basis to insure the highest volume of sales possible. He or she is also responsible for breaking new business and then assigning it to the appropriate sales area and representative.
The position is charged with choosing the best new revenue initiatives to pursue as well as examining and making recommendations on the special issues calendar and special sections throughout the year. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing sales training for all sales reps and for maintaining a base of major accounts. The Director will provide ongoing sales support to ensure that each salesperson grows and develops to their potential. The Director will set the standard and lead by example with respect to customer service, revenue management, and client appreciation initiatives.
-Monitoring service to major clients

-Retain and grow our client base to meet and exceed budgeted goals
-Inventory management, trafficking, reporting and optimization.
-Working knowledge of best practices in management, public relations, client service, written and oral communication
-Must be able to contribute to the development of a business vision and manage implementation efforts of complex sales initiatives
-Relevant experience in online sales, online advertising, online marketing, and business-development
-Strong sales and deal-closing skills. Substantial experience in business development, client relationship and consultative selling
-Strong qualitative and analytical skills
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
-Basic technical knowledge of digital media sales
-Command respect from team so that policies can be implemented.
-Substantial experience in business development, client relationship and sales team management
-Organize departmental issues for executive leadership review

-Must be able to understand, analyze, reason practically

-Minimum of 8 years of experience in leading and building and leading high performing media teams
-News media experience
-Knowledge of the Spanish language is not required
