Summary:

The Benefit Regional Boutique Proprietor is responsible for all aspects of running their region and training world class Boutique managers. They are required to use all resources and tools to create the best atmosphere for our customers and employees. The position requires a strong, decisive manager who is responsive and at the same time can provide well-directed and focused leadership. The Benefit Regional Boutique Proprietor is happy, cheerful, and energetic and lives the Benefit Spirit. The Benefit Regional Boutique Proprietor’s overall responsibilities can be divided as follows:
  • 50% Maintaining operations of boutiques within region
  • 25% Strategy
  • 25% Real Estate and Boutique Planning
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Maintain strong partnerships with Benefit Home Office and other divisions of the Benefit Brand (Sephora, Department Stores).
  • Responsible for setting short-term and long-term goals; including strategies for continued superior performance.

  • Partner with Human Resources
  • Hire, orient, develop and retain people.
  • Review performance of boutique personnel and management consistently.
  • Appropriately staff and manage for open Boutique Proprietor positions.
  • Effectively manage inventory within and among boutiques.
  • Empower and partner with Boutique Proprietors to recruit, hire, train and develop boutique staff.
  • Ensure self and team follows all Company and Boutique policies and procedures.
  • In partnership with National Aesthetician Trainer, maintain State Board regulations.
  • Prioritize most urgent business needs.
  • Strong time management.
  • Maintain the safety and security of all employees.
  • In partnership with National Trainer, Boutiques and National Aesthetician Trainer, ensure proper training of entire boutique team.
  • Manage all Company expenses within the parameters set forth in the T&E Policy.
-Customer Service-
  • Create an environment that is passionate about customer service.
  • Maintain the consistency and standards of the 8 Step Magic Selling Formula.
  • Support customer retention and clientele.
  • Create and maintain customer data base.
  • Create an environment that is passionate about customer service.
  • Maintain an enthusiastic and supportive floor presence.
  • Inspire employees by setting the example of excellent service and sales.
  • Teach, coach, and develop employees to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Respond to customer complaints or inquires within 24 hours and document and report these incidents.
  • Use good judgment to make sound decisions regarding service issues.
-Results-
  • Achieve daily/ monthly/ yearly regional sales goals.
  • Achieve monthly/ yearly/ expense target.
  • Achieve monthly/ yearly payroll target.
  • Comply with all company procedures to achieve accurate inventory management.
  • In partnership with Boutique Proprietors, develop strategies to maximize sales potential by accurately forecasting sales, ensuring that the staffing plans are in alignment with the business trends, and adjusting payroll accordingly.
  • Create action plans to increase profit and control variable expenses by evaluating the P&L on a regular basis.
-Human Resources-
  • Consult and communicate staff issues to Human Resources (i.e. Worker’s Compensation, potential leaves of absence, poor performance, employee relations issues)
  • Document unsatisfactory performance and policy violations in a consistent and timely manner. Partner with Boutique HR Generalist to address the issue.
  • Demonstrated ability to network, recruit, train, develop and promote quality associates into progressive, meaningful management positions for past paced growth. Has the ability to build a bench and succession plan for future staffing needs.
-Real Estate and Boutique Planning-
  • Effectively manage the opening of a new boutique within budget.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate leasing of real estate properties for new boutiques.
  • Partner with the VP of Boutiques to prioritize and evaluate new market opportunities.
  • Evaluate real estate opportunities in assigned region and provide feedback to VP of Boutiques.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years successful management experience
  • Ability to maintain, manage and strategize a budget/ P&L
  • Great coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high level written and verbal response.
  • Flexibility regarding work hours
  • Comfortable with direct communication
  • Work in a fragrance filled environment
  • Versed in HR issues and requirements
  • Able to travel
  • Valid driver’s license required
Physical Requirements:

Able to perform the following physical duties including, but not limited to:
  • Continuously standing/ walking for 8 hours
  • Unpacking and lifting boxes up to 30 lbs
  • Stocking and filling shelves, drawers, and show cases
  • Cleaning displays and boutique
  • Employees have physical contact with clients
