If you are ready to be rewarded for your hard work in developing these qualities here is your opportunity for a career with a premier electrical wholesale company.The Regional Credit Manager is responsible for leading the overall credit function for the Region with a portfolio of over $30M. Designs and implements processes to improve cash flow, protect the company's accounts receivable assets through strategic and collaborative methods to increase cash flow, decrease DSO, and reduce bad debt. Develops best practices for the investigation of customers, extension of credit lines and processing of collections. Maintains familiarity with a variety of building materials industry credit concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Regional Credit Manager will accomplish these responsibilities through various tasks including: Establish and revise credit limits based on company credit policy and communication with sales team. Manages team of direct reports in accounts receivable and credit/collection responsibilities Performs periodic credit evaluations on all active customers and works with sales team to acquire recent financial statements and update credit documentation as required. Determine and utilize the optimal method of securing interest in the customer accounts, including use of letters-of-credit, security agreements, bank guarantees, liens and other credit related security tools Develop relationships with Sales Management, Sales Team, Accounting, Legal and other departments within the company in order to provide transparency into the credit/collection process as well as to consistently enhance the overall quality improvement in the credit workflow process. Establish and maintain a close working relationship with executive team to assist in providing timely reporting and risk analysis Ensuring negotiation of large and difficult collection issues including but not limited to long term payment arrangements, taking and registration of security and settlement of accounts Ensure compliance to all established policy and procedures and report to the Director any deviations from established policy and procedures Initiating legal action and/or assisting management with legal actions including, but not limited to, construction liens, statements of claims, small claims court, and bankruptcies. Monitor competitor and supplier credit and legal problems through attendance at industry credit group meetings Minimize bad debt expense and improve collection efforts for the organizationA successful Regional Credit Manager will be a relationship builder and able to manage multiple objectives and priorities on a daily basis, and will effectively communicate with others to ensure the achievement of those objectives. Key to successfully meeting the goals of the Regional Credit Manager is the ability to demonstrate resourcefulness and provide solutions to credit issues that leads to the best customer experience possible and protects the interest of the company.Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years work experience in a credit management role in the building materials industry. Degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Work experience considered in lieu of education. Experience in the electrical construction industry is a plus. Working knowledge of accounting and credit principles and strong analytical skills needed. Ability to read and interpret financial information expected. Strong working knowledge of construction industry collections, liens and bond claims required. Solid management experience in leading a team, setting objectives, monitoring performance and communicating feedback expected.Competitive salary with company performance based bonus plan - negotiable based on experience.
