Texas Hunger Initiative, Baylor School of Social Work
The Texas Hunger Initiative (THI) at Baylor University†s School of Social Work, in partnership with the State of Texas, is fighting to end hunger in our State. The work begins by increasing access to nutritious foods and increasing participation in federal nutrition assistance programs through cooperative efforts with government agencies, churches, nonprofit organizations, and school districts as well as other community organizations.
THI is opening 12 Regional Offices to operate programs expanding access to food and healthcare through community based, programmatic activity supported by research. The offices will be located in; Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, El Paso, McAllen, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Tyler and Waco.
