Central Transport LLC., an industry leading LTL Transportation provider is currently seeking a Regional Maintenance Manager based in Allentown, PA . We are seeking an aggressive, forward thinking and highly motivated candidate to fill a vital leadership role within our maintenance group.

Responsibilities for this position include but will not be limited to:
  • Manage maintenance cycles and records, inventory procedures, facility maintenance planning and breakdown management program
  • Responsible for selecting, coaching, training staff, and evaluating employee performance
  • Provide input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions
  • Supervise shop staff (i.e., managers, supervisors, and mechanics)
  • Responsible for ensuring budgetary compliance for the region
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills to motivate maintenance team to achieve company performance objectives, meet safety requirements, and satisfy customer needs
  • Plan, organize, assign and schedule repair and maintenance for tractors and trailers
  • Ensure shop managers enforce compliance relative to local, state, and federal safety rules and regulations

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in a regional fleet or similar environment
  • Experience managing a large shop and or multiple locations
  • Solid knowledge and experience with employee relations, safety rules and governmental regulations
  • Ability to work in and develop a team atmosphere
  • Strong knowledge of Class 8 truck & trailer repair
  • Experience and understanding of working within a budget
