The Regional Manager, Distribution is responsible for increasing distribution of Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Channel HD, Hallmark Movie Channel SD and Hallmark Movie Channel HD within an assigned territory. The position will also manage local advertising partnerships and national account activities in the assigned territory. Position reports to the VP, Distribution and may occasionally provide work direction to support functions.
Develops and implements effective strategies to increase distribution and subscriber revenues
Effectively delivers product position proposals and presentations to affiliates
Builds and develops enduring relationships with affiliates and local ad sales clients in order to provide excellent customer service
Effectively sells-in and manages promotional campaigns throughout the year
Participates in industry trade shows
Oversees and maintain an accurate, up-to-date prospect and current affiliate database list
Maintains knowledge on industry trends through affiliate communications, review of trade journals and publications.
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the cable or other related industries with a proven track record of successfully meeting sales objectives
Experience in successfully handling accounts, i.e., MSO etc. (if Cable, preferably Top 10, including carriage negotiations)
PC experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
