Regional Manager, K12 School Sales
$1.5 million in new sales a year and a 90% renewal rate for existing business
5-10 years of sales experience in the education industry or an acceptable career substitute; with a demonstrated evidence of ability to sell strategic solutions. General understanding of the K12 market and Bachelors degree required.
The Regional Manager, K12 School Sales is responsible for building new business in the K12 market, and managing renewal business for existing accounts . New business is pursued via several approaches: 1) a territory target plan developed by the Manager in coordination with the Director of School Sales; 2) website leads ; 3) tradeshow and conference leads; 4) leads from partners and other business units; 5) referrals from current client and 6) assigned by the Director of School Sales. The Manager also maintains existing client relationships within his/her territory, and is responsible for expanding the relationship through renewals and new products/services. The Manager works closely with the K12 Implementation Team to establish a successful program implementation, as well as monitoring account performance throughout the length of their contract.
Develop and manage a territory target aligned to the goals of the national sales plan. Manager is responsible for moving prospects through the sales process, and using SalesForce to record sales activities and progress to the rest of the team. Qualify prospects and identify their goals and challenges, determine how our solutions fit into their needs, and identify key decision-makers. Plan and conduct presentations and service demonstrations with prospects. Develop proposals and respond to RFPs. Sales Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the proposal process, including analysis, development, pricing, submission, review, evaluation response and contract negotiation, under the guidance of the Sales Director. Sales Manager will also be asked to coordinate with partners as needed for joint proposal submissions. The Sales Manager is responsible for preparing the Master Services Agreement and manage it through the review and signature process.
Work closely with the K12 Implementation Team and take an active role in the program launch and support the account management relationships as needed. Participate in periodic client reviews and work in conjunction with the Client Services Manager to resolve client service issues. Manage the renewal process and develop renewal MSAs for client review and signature.
Look for service expansion opportunities with existing clients, identify decision makers, and explore those opportunities. Amend existing MSAs to add on expanded or new services.
Participate in K12 conferences and events as requested. Assist in the evaluation of these conferences and the addition of potential new conferences.
Contribute to the overall planning and growth of the K12 business, and communicate feedback from the field with other departments in the company, including product development and marketing.
